WooCommerce

Redis cache for WooCommerce that knows what must never be cached

CachePilot caches shop pages, filters and the cart fragments of an empty cart, and keeps carts, sessions and prices correct. Pages rendered for a visitor with a WooCommerce session are never stored.

Autopilot log entries after a price change: the page cache is emptied

Prices and stock

Price changes reach the cache, whichever way they come.

The page cache purges product pages on price changes made in the admin, through the WooCommerce API, REST, WP-CLI, imports and scheduled sales. Stock changes purge too.

When prices, taxes or currencies change for the whole shop, all cached pages are emptied. Filter, sort and variation parameters enter the key, up to 6 per page.

Questions from shop owners

What CachePilot caches in WooCommerce and what it leaves alone.

Are pages cached when the cart has items?

Pages are cached for visitors with a filled cart; the mini cart comes through the cart fragments. Pages rendered with cart notices or a WooCommerce session are never stored.

What about the cart fragments request?

The cart fragments of an empty cart are cached for 7 days and served before WordPress loads. An optional setting limits the fragments script to shop, cart and checkout pages.

Does CachePilot cache the checkout?

No. Cart, checkout and account pages are never cached, and POST requests always go to WordPress.

Do nonces in cached pages expire?

A cached page lives at most 12 hours, so its nonces stay valid.

Does it work with WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual?

Yes. Currency and language cookies enter the page cache key. See multilingual sites.
