Beta terms

Translation of the Beta-Bedingungen. The German version is legally binding.

These terms apply to taking part in the CachePilot beta. Our general terms and conditions apply in addition; in case of conflict these beta terms take precedence.

1. Who can take part

(1) Only businesses within the meaning of section 14 German Civil Code can take part. When signing up, the participant confirms that they act as a business.

(2) We activate beta accounts at our own discretion. There is no claim to activation or participation. We can decline a sign-up without giving reasons.

2. Free use

(1) During the beta, download, updates and support are free of charge.

(2) The CachePilot plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. What the participant installed during the beta they may keep using under the rules of this license, also after the beta ends.

(3) CachePilot Server and the ISPConfig extension are not part of the beta. We provide them only on request through getcachepilot.com/contact/server/ under a separate contract.

3. No warranty for function and availability

(1) CachePilot is under development during the beta. We give no warranty that CachePilot works without errors, works with every environment or achieves particular results.

(2) We do not promise availability of the portal, the download or the update server. We can change or remove functions or withdraw the delivery of individual versions.

(3) The participant backs up their sites before installing and before every update, and tests CachePilot on a test environment first where possible.

4. Liability

Liability follows section 10 of the terms.

5. Feedback

(1) Feedback is welcome: bug reports, ideas, measurements and experience with CachePilot, through the form in the beta account or by email to support@cms-admins.de.

(2) We may use feedback freely and without remuneration, in particular to improve CachePilot. We do not publish personal data from feedback. If we want to publish a statement of the participant with name or company, we ask first.

(3) The participant gives no feedback that contains passwords, access data or personal data of third parties.

6. Newsletter

(1) Consent to our newsletter is a condition of taking part. Through it we inform about new versions, the course and the end of the beta.

(2) The participant can withdraw consent at any time, through the link in every newsletter or under “Settings” in the beta account. Access to the beta account stays after a withdrawal at first. CMS ADMINS may end the participation in that case; download and updates end then.

7. End of the beta

(1) We announce the end of the beta by email to all participants.

(2) After the beta ends, the terms then in force apply to download, updates and support. Continued use of the installed version according to section 2 (2) remains unaffected.

(3) The participant can end their participation at any time by deleting their beta account.
